We are pleased to share the official FEMISE Policy Seminar Report (June 2025), capturing the key insights, exchanges, and recommendations that emerged from the high-level seminar held on 16 June 2025 in Cairo (hybrid format). The seminar was organized by FEMISE, in partnership with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
The FEMISE Policy Seminar offered a dynamic platform for dialogue between researchers and practitioners on how to advance deeper EU-Med integration across themes at the top of the regional agenda: value chain integration, green transition, and youth inclusion and employment. Through this exchange, participants explored how research-based policy recommendations can inform operational practices, highlighting both areas of convergence—where evidence and implementation align—and gaps that still need to be addressed. The report concludes with a strategic roadmap that synthesizes the discussions of the final session, outlining actionable steps and policy recommendations that can be adopted within each thematic area to foster a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient Euro-Mediterranean region.
