FEMISE Annual Report on the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership
Since 1999, the network coordinators (IM and ERF) publish each year a report that presents the analyses and proposals of the FEMISE on the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and on the development of Mediterranean countries. For each selected topic, the report points-out:
- FEMISE analyses (drawn from studies conducted by the FEMISE);
- Economic policy proposals within the euro-Mediterranean Partnership framework.
These reports are available in both English and French:
Femise Research Reports
These reports disseminate the results of the research projects undertaken by FEMISE members and funded by the European Commission grant.
Since its inception in 1997 to date, FEMISE has published 86 Research Reports that have been distributed in the EU-Med Region and outside. 33 reports have been produced in FEMISE I (1998-1999), 37 reports produced within FEMISE II (2000-2005) and so far 16 reports produced within the association since its establishment in 2005. FEMISE research activities ensures a detailed and independent record of the economic partnership between EU and Mediterranean countries and strengthen the co-operation between researchers in the region. From 1998 to 2009, nearly 5 million euro were employed in economic research on the region.
Femise Country Profiles
Between 2004 and 2006, FEMISE has produced 10 Country Profiles for the 10 South Mediterranean partners with contributions from national experts following a general structure. These reports have been successful in brining together national experts to address five different aspects of their own economies: Fiscal and Macroeconomic, Trade, Financial, Governance, Labour and social issues in the context of the EU-Med partnership. Each aspect has been addressed in a chapter,in a addition to a sixth chapter on the Multi-criteria analysis. These ten reports are available in either English (Egypt, Jordan,, Palestine, Syria, Turkey and Israel) or French (Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon and Tunisia) and some are also available in Arabic.
Selected Country Profiles have benefited from co-funding from the Arab Fund for Social Development (AFSD).
Femise Thematic Reports on the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership
Since 1999, the Femise coordinators carried out several reports on specific questions and of current relevance to the Euro-Mediterranean partnership. These non-regular contributions allow for complementing annual reports and published research.
