FEMISE and ANIMA continue their webinar series with the second episode of THE NEXT SOCIETY #NOWANDLIVE<\/span><\/h4>\n

As technology innovations drive the economy and the rapid adoption of ICTs, e-commerce is increasingly becoming key for more inclusive economic growth and for the competitiveness of developing countries. The COVID-19 crisis led to the acceleration of the dynamism of the e-commerce landscape and expanded its scope, including through creating new businesses, new consumer segments, and new products.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite digital divides and regulations not always adapted, the MENA region was no exception to this rend and there is no doubt that the e-commerce will benefit the South Med economies as a whole by providing a platform to build a whole ecosystem around it (including fin-tech, logistics, jobs, etc.).<\/p>\n

This new episode of THE NEXT SOCIETY #NOWANDLIVE will explore, from three different angles: at the national and policy levels, at the intermediary level and at the entrepreneurial level, how this could help startups, local businesses to grow a value chain and create a momentum for growth that is most needed in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n
